Pamphlet: "County Surveyor's Guidelines for Good Practice"

This report is intended to provide guidance for County, City and other agencies which currently perform land surveying work in-house. The guidelines can help the agency perform surveying work which conforms to the requirements of the statutes and rules of the State of Washington.

AGO Letter Opinion No. 31: "Plat Checking"

This opinion discusses four questions: 1) Can the county auditor refuse recordation of a map that does not meet statutory requirements?; 2) Can the county auditor refuse recordation of a map that would in fact constitute a plat under Chapter 58 RCW?; 3) What is the nature of the county engineer's approval of a plat?; and 4) Is the act of such plat check by the county engineer the practice of land surveying.

To use the calculator, insert the necessary data into the blue colored fields.
REMEMBER: This calculator will NOT calculate highway spirals.
